Duties
- Lead and motivate the parts sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Manage inventory control, warehouse management, and order management systems to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Develop and implement demand planning strategies to forecast parts needs accurately and reduce excess inventory.
- Cultivate strong relationships with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) suppliers and negotiate favorable pricing and procurement terms.
- Oversee procurement management, sourcing, and logistics to ensure timely delivery of parts while controlling costs.
- Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as AS400 or similar platforms for data entry, order processing, and inventory tracking.
- Coordinate shipping & receiving activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and efficient warehouse operations.
- Support automotive diagnostics, automotive service, auto body repair, and equipment repair processes by providing technical knowledge when needed.
- Implement supply chain management best practices to streamline operations across manufacturing facilities or dealership locations.
- Maintain excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and resolving issues related to pricing, availability, or delivery.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, procurement processes, and sourcing strategies.
- Experience with automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, HVAC systems, or auto body repair is a plus.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), order management systems, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and ERP platforms like AS400.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with data entry skills for accurate inventory control and demand planning.
- Excellent negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive pricing.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, logistics coordination, and warehouse experience.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively across departments and with clients.
- Ability to manage procurement activities efficiently while maintaining compliance with safety standards.
- Knowledge of dealership operations including sourcing OEM parts and managing auto parts inventory for automotive service centers.
