SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Youth Program Director, the Youth Program Coordinator assists and provides individualized guidance to families applying for Care4Kids childcare subsidies. This role involves supporting both new and returning families by helping them navigate the application and re-certification processes. Responsibilities include collecting and verifying required documentation, maintaining accurate and up-to-date case files, and ensuring all paperwork meets Care4Kids and licensing requirements. This position works closely with families to ensure compliance and continued eligibility, serving as a compassionate and knowledgeable resource.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Support daily program operations, including opening/closing procedures and maintaining appropriate student ratios.
● Guide families through Care4Kids applications and new family enrollment, ensuring all documentation meets licensing requirements.
● Provide administrative support by organizing and maintaining confidential records, digital files, and program paperwork (attendance, incident reports, permission slips, rosters, etc.) for after-school program and academic clubs.
● Conduct and document licensing walkthroughs to ensure compliance with state regulations and student safety.
● Process weekly billing, Care4Kids invoices, and parent payments, issuing receipts and logging transactions in ProCare.
● Assist youth staff with classroom activities and develop program support materials.
● Oversees program in the absence of the Youth Director. This includes overseeing the Summer Camp in the absence of the Director.
● Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
● Candidate must be 21 years or older and have some experience working with children/youth in grades K-8.
● Coursework in education, psychology, social work, or a related field is required; a bachelor’s degree is required.
● Experience in Curriculum Development (preferred)
● Bilingual: English/Spanish (preferred)

Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and adapt quickly. Experienced in working with diverse children, families, and teams, with a positive and nurturing approach. Tech-savvy, energetic, and able to manage time effectively while handling multiple priorities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk, talk, or hear. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The employee is required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The incumbent must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facility. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
