Job Overview - General Summary
The Processing Lead is to assist with machine and manual trimming, manufacture pre-rolls, and package flower products both by hand and utilizing automated operating equipment efficiently and compliantly while maintaining a safe production and sanitary work environment. This is a full-time position and may be required to work overtime.
Responsibilities
· Package flower products accurately and effectively
· Run a trimming machine and trim flowers manually
· Run a pre-roll machine to produce up to 1,250 pre-rolls per shift
· Run the Mobius trimmer proficiently
· Ensure the Mobius trimmer is in working condition, noting any signs of wear/ machine related needs to the Post Harvest Manager
· Directing Processing employees and assigning specific tasks as needed
· Keeping up to date records for the Mobius and Quality Control
· Ensuring proper labeling and organization of product throughout the post-harvest process
· Ensure bucking correct strains are being processed, totes are labeled and weighed and placed in the correct location-easily identifiable. Ensuring finished totes are free from any excessive amounts of stems
· Mobius/QC: all bags and totes are clearly labeled with strain and product grade (A bud, B bud, Smalls, Trim)
· Using automated operating equipment to complete tasks
· Overseeing the quality of products produced daily
· Full understanding of the company’s quality standards
· Report quality issues to management
· Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment
· When required, accurately produce quality acceptable labels for packages
· Ensure METRC log and labeling requirements at all stages of processing operations
· Maintain a reliable attendance record
· Communicate effectively between the Packaging and Retail departments
· Assisting with gathering daily production materials and inventory
· Boxing/case packaging of packaged units
· Assisting with break coverages
· Labeling finished packaged units (by hand, benchtop, or automated machinery)
· Understanding of all automated operating equipment required to complete daily tasks
· Strict adherence to safety procedures and company policies
· Have read and understand all standard operating procedures (SOPs) pertaining to job duties
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
· 1+ years of relevant work experience
· Proficient with Microsoft: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
· Possess a can-do attitude, resourceful, action-oriented, reliable, and a team player
· Excellent communication skills as applied to internal teams
· Motivated with flexibility and adaptability
· Possess a sense of urgency, problem-solving, and organizational skills with great attention to detail
Minimum Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Must be 21 years old with the ability to obtain an MA agent registration card
· Must have Cannabis industry experience and be proficient with processing procedures, including pre-roll manufacturing, packaging, and labeling
· Must pass a comprehensive background check as mandated by the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
