Underground utility contractor, looking to hiring an experienced Pipe Layer / Backhoe Operator for underground utility construction, with a strong emphasis on gravity sewer and storm drainage experience.
We are specifically looking for candidates with strong hands-on experience in gravity sewer and storm drainage. This is NOT an entry-level position.
Required Experience
- Gravity sewer installation
- Storm drainage installation
- Setting pipe to proper line, grade, and slope
- Manholes, drainage structures, and service connections
- Operating a backhoe for underground utility work
- Trenching, excavation, bedding, backfill, and compaction
- Working with pipe lasers and elevations
- Reading utility plans
- Trench safety and working around shoring/trench boxes
Minimum 3+ years of relevant underground utility experience preferred.
We are looking for someone who can get on the job and be productive with minimal training. Experience with gravity sewer and drainage is the priority.
