About the Opportunity
Staffora Global Hire is partnering with a confidential venture-backed AI startup seeking a Founding ML/AI Engineer to build the intelligence layer of its AI-powered talent platform. This individual will own recommendation systems, ranking algorithms and LLM-powered matching while working directly with the founding team to ship production-ready features at a rapid pace.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and own AI/ML recommendation and ranking systems.
- Develop LLM-powered candidate-role matching capabilities.
- Translate product goals into production-ready solutions. Deliver end-to-end features with ownership and frequent production releases.
- Architect, build and maintain production-grade data pipelines and backend services.
- Collaborate closely with founders, product and engineering teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- Max 4 years of experience required
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals.
- Experience shipping end-to-end products in fast-paced startup environments.
- Production experience with Cursor, Supabase, Prisma, Typesense, Trigger.dev and LLM APIs.
- Strong TypeScript and React expertise.
- Experience building production AI/ML applications.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and high ownership.
- Comfortable working in hacker-house environments across LATAM when required.
- Willing to work six days per week.
- Exceptional academic record, GitHub profile, open-source work or standout technical projects preferred.
