Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Pizza Maker/Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas and assisting in overall kitchen operations. This role requires a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. The Pizza Maker/Line Cook will contribute to creating an enjoyable dining experience for our guests through efficient and consistent meal preparation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, toppings, and sauces according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist in menu planning and daily food preparation tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage and handling procedures are followed
- Support the team during busy hours by preparing ingredients and assembling orders promptly
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with dietary guidelines and customer specifications
- Assist with catering orders and special event preparations as needed
- Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred
- Culinary experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is advantageous
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and kitchen equipment operation is essential
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is a plus
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food industry standards are highly desirable
- Prior dietary aide or dietary department experience can be beneficial but is not required
