Senterra, a family office investment holding company, is seeking a seasoned Payroll Manager to serve as the payroll authority across its enterprise — owning the full cycle from processing through compliance to plan governance. Based in our Houston, TX office, this role offers a rare combination of professional ownership, executive-level exposure, and long-term stability.

What a Strong Candidate Brings
- 10+ years of progressive payroll management experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
- ADP Workforce Now system administration across multiple company codes preferred
- Multi-entity, multi-state payroll experience
- Nonqualified deferred compensation plan experience (409A)
- 401(k) plan administration and TPA coordination
- CPP or FPC certification preferred
- Strong reporting and account reconciliation background
- Naturally advisory — communicates complex topics clearly to leadership
What You Will Own
- Full-cycle bi-weekly payroll across eight entities in multiple states
- Multi-company ADP Workforce Now administration and configuration
- Mexico payroll compliance review and approval
- Merged 401(k) plan administration, including fiduciary meetings, census reporting, and compliance testing
- Multiple nonqualified deferred compensation plans — compliance and administration
- Year-end payroll processes: reconciliation, W-2s, tax filings, and new-year configuration
- Benefits deduction reconciliation and vendor management
- Enterprise payroll advisory to Senterra operations and Avondale HR
