Duties
- Install new HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems according to schematics and design specifications
- Conduct system inspections and troubleshoot issues using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to ensure proper operation
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) equipment across various property types
- Read and interpret technical schematics, HVAC design plans, and mechanical drawings to execute installations accurately
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams and other trades such as plumbing and welding to coordinate complex installations or repairs
- Diagnose mechanical problems in refrigeration systems like ammonia refrigeration units or appliance repair scenarios
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for accountability and future reference
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a strong mechanical knowledge base in HVAC systems or related fields
- Service technician experience in HVAC/R or refrigeration environments is highly preferred
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents with confidence
- Familiarity with plumbing systems, refrigeration principles, and ammonia refrigeration is a plus
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair, welding techniques, boiler maintenance, and property upkeep
- Mechanical aptitude combined with field service expertise in appliance repair or property maintenance tasks
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver certification is advantageous
- Proficiency using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; experience with HVAC/R equipment troubleshooting is essential
- Strong problem-solving skills along with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments
