Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining sterile environments using aseptic techniques.
- Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence, ensuring safety for both animals and staff during examinations and treatments.
- Conduct laboratory tests, including blood work, ear cytology, fecal sample, and other diagnostic testing, to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Maintain detailed medical records, update patient files, and document procedures accurately in compliance with veterinary standards.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians, including catheterization.
- Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with dental radiographs.
- Operate radiography equipment (X-ray) to assist in diagnostic imaging while adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring animal behavior for signs of illness or distress.
- Handle various animals with patience and professionalism across different handling scenarios.
Experience
- Strong veterinary technician experience with knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy.
- Laboratory experience involving diagnostic testing methods is advantageous.
- Knowledge of X-ray operation and interpretation enhances your ability to contribute effectively within our team.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
