Greenline hires unarmed security personnel to provide security services for the licensed retail premises. All security personnel are hired in compliance with Chapters 11.4 and 11.5 of Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code. All security guards are required to display a laminated or plastic-coated identification badge issued by the licensee at all times while engaging in commercial cannabis activity.
Security is the first point of contact with our customers, therefore Security Guards are expected to uphold a high standard of professionalism. Security guards greet and check in all guests, then smoothly transition them to the sales floor.
Duties and responsibilities
- Safeguarding assets, premises, and individuals against potential threats and risks
- Guards actively maintain a physical presence at the front door and observe assigned areas to deter theft and other criminal activity
- Core duties include access control, customer age verification and intake, monitoring and patrolling
- Upholding all DCC regulations
- Requesting proper documentation and checking in all guests
- Verifying physician’s recommendations
- Greeting all guests with a warm welcome
- Intercepting outside contacts
- Collecting and logging incoming packages
- Manage Vendor sign-in
- Monitoring cameras to observe the behavior of customers inside the building
- Monitoring parking lots to prevent diversion, shoulder-tapping, and other illegal acts
- Conducting sweeps of parking lot, cleaning up any trash
- Observe and report, complete incident reports to clearly document all incidents that occur on the property
- Maintaining the cleanliness of store including but not limited to:Sanitizing all hard surfaces and customer touch points, Sweeping and vacuuming rugs, Cleaning and restocking restroom.
Working Conditions
- The position is stationed within a retail location at customer point of entry. Will work outside of the building for short periods of time conducting sweeps of perimeter and parking lot or assisting customers with parking. Gloves will be provided for cleaning duties.
Physical Requirements
- The ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours a day. The ability to routinely bend over and lift 5-20 lbs on a regular basis. Ability to complete repetitive reaching, bending, and twisting.
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
