United Bank is looking for a detail-oriented Lending Assistant to support our Agricultural Lending team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with documentation, coordinating multiple projects, communicating with customers, and keeping processes organized from start to finish.
You do not need previous banking experience to be successful in this role. We are open to candidates with administrative, financial, business, accounting, lending, legal support, or other related professional experience who have strong organizational and customer service skills.
What You'll Do
- Support agricultural lenders throughout the loan process from application to closing and beyond
- Order and manage appraisals, title work, surveys, flood certifications, and lien verifications
- Collect, review, and organize financial statements, tax returns, and other supporting documentation
- Coordinate loan processing activities with lenders, customers, attorneys, and loan operations
- Review loan documentation and assist with loan closings
- Assist with draw requests, wire transfers, and loan funding activities
- Monitor loan exceptions, insurance policies, maturing loans, and related documentation
- Ensure documents are properly imaged, maintained, and compliant with bank policies
- Communicate with customers and business partners to resolve issues and provide excellent service
- Support departmental operations, inventory management, and business development activities
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of professional experience in banking, finance, accounting, business administration, legal support, customer service, operations, lending support, or a related field
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision
- Ability to analyze information, maintain accuracy, and pay attention to detail
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Agriculture, or a related field
- Experience supporting lending, loan processing, financial services, legal documentation, or agricultural operations
