Golden Technologies, a family-owned and operated manufacturer of power lift recliners, power wheelchairs and mobility scooters is hiring a full-time Maintenance Utility Associate.

Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Utility Associate will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.
Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the building including bathrooms, breakrooms, and offices.
- Breakrooms (tables, counter tops, microwaves, sweet & mop floor)
- Bathrooms (sinks, backsplashes, toilets, floors, check soap, toilet paper & paper towels at the start, middle and near the end of shift and replace if necessary)
- Performs minor repairs and maintenance such as replacing light fixtures or unclogging pipes
- Performs limited grounds maintenance such as mowing and trimming lawns and hedges and cleaning snow from sidewalks.
- Remove all the trash from the plant floor, offices, conference rooms, breakroom, bathrooms and smoking area and take it out to the dumpsters
- Remove the metal and take to the dumpsters
- Remove and break down all the cardboard and put it in the compactor outside
- Sweep the plant floor, blue tiled areas, hallways, stairways, foyer, reception area
- Mop, strip, wax, puff the tiled areas.
- Paint, fabricate equipment we need on the floor
- Build walls for offices, carpet offices, hang sheet rock
- Communicates orally and in writing to notify supervisor of conditions of building and equipment
- Uses forklift and electric pallet jack as needed.
- Performs other maintenance duties assigned.
- Trains new employees
- Other duties as assigned
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from co-workers, regulatory agencies or authorities or other supervisors, managers.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with regular objectives without supervision
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs alone.
- Ability to use hand, power and specialty tools
- Employee must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to operate various machines, and/or equipment; and reach with hands and arms. Employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Employee must be able to push and pull.
- Employee must be able to climb ladders, operate a forklift and electric pallet jack
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Able to read directions and communicate both verbally and in writing.
Normal Shift is Day shift, however, must be willing to work various hours, overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.
