Description:
As a Caregiver, you will provide compassionate, resident-centered care while promoting each resident's independence, dignity, and quality of life. Working under the supervision of a licensed nurse, you will assist residents with activities of daily living, monitor changes in condition, and contribute to a safe and welcoming environment.

Provide compassionate personal care while treating every resident with dignity and respect.

Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, and other personal care needs.

Support residents during meals, including feeding assistance and encouraging proper nutrition and hydration.

Assist residents with mobility, transfers, ambulation, positioning, and restorative exercises as directed.

Encourage residents to maintain their highest level of independence and functioning.

Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance.

Observe residents for changes in physical or emotional condition and report concerns to the nurse immediately.

Accurately document care provided according to company policies.

Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.

Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Follow infection prevention protocols, standard precautions, and all safety procedures.

Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff.

Participate in emergency procedures, including fire safety and disaster response.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support resident care and community operations.
Requirements:

High school diploma or GED preferred.
-
CPR certification required (or ability to obtain within designated timeframe).

Current CNA and or HHA certification required and in good standing with the NJ board of nursing.

Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks associated with resident care.

May require exposure to bodily fluids and infectious materials.

Must follow OSHA safety standards and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
