A Field Mechanic will repair vehicles, equipment, and machinery by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities:

Must be prepared to travel.

Crawls under or climbs in or on vehicles or equipment for maintenance and repair inspections.

Repairs, removes, and replaces moving parts and other components of vehicles, equipment or machinery.

Disassembles, repairs, removes, and replaces parts of engines, transmissions, drive assemblies, brakes, and clutches of vehicles, equipment or machinery.

Tunes, adjusts, and regulates equipment engines, valves, pumps, carburetors and other mechanical components with variable setting.

Lubricates and services vehicles, equipment or machinery and maintains accurate records of such service.

Requests repair parts and lubrication supplies as needed.

Helps workers of other crafts when not engaged in lubrication, service, maintenance and repair work.

All other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Certificate from college or technical school; or twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have valid driver's license.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
-
Good driving record is required.
-
May require certification for certain types of equipment repairs.
This is a safety-sensitive position.
