Job Summary
We are looking for motivated manual machinists to become a member of our team. We do NOT work with CNC machines, everything in our shop is manual. We are a locally owned and operated business with a history of providing high quality machine and equipment repairs for the tri-state area. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, able to work with little supervision, and able to complete various projects either independently or as a part of a team.
Your responsibilities would include the ability to setup and run manual lathes and mills. Also, the ability to read blueprints, sketches, and drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances is necessary. Experience with a steady rest, hand and air tools is a plus. Candidate must be able to demonstrate skill level on the manual lathe.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 2 years experience running manual lathes and mills
- Able to read and interpret various prints
- Able to observe machine operation to detect out of tolerance machine and adjust accordingly
- Valid driver's license
- Able to work in various environments
- Able to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a drug screen
