Job Description:
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate heavy?duty tow trucks and recovery equipment safely and professionally.
- Respond to dispatched service calls including breakdowns, roadside assistance, and accident recoveries.
- Assess vehicles and determine the safest towing or recovery method.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles following company safety standards.
- Provide basic roadside assistance (jump starts, tire changes, lockouts, fuel delivery).
- Complete all required paperwork, inspection reports, and service documentation accurately.
- Perform daily pre?trip and post?trip inspections.
- Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of assigned equipment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, law enforcement, and repair facilities.
- Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety procedures.
- Assist with after?hours, weekend, holiday, and emergency response as needed.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- CDL?A required.
- Experience operating Heavy?Duty Tow Trucks required.
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and secure heavy equipment and vehicle components.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to work on?call schedules, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Wage Range: 35.00 - 50.00 per hour
