Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station to ensure food safety and sanitation compliance
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes or improvements based on customer feedback and seasonal ingredients
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food efficiently and accurately
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Follow all safety protocols, including knife skills, to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation methods
- Experience working in dietary departments or with dietary aide responsibilities is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
