Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Last Mile Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of packages to our customers. You will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while operating a box truck and managing the loading and unloading of goods. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency as you navigate various routes.
Duties
- Safely operate a box truck to deliver packages to designated locations.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Follow assigned delivery routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management.
- Utilize equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks for loading and unloading tasks.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Previous warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding logistics operations.
- Experience with appliance installation and/or fitness equipment assembly is preferred
- Experience in commercial driving, particularly with box trucks, is required.
- Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving efficiency.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of packages safely.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous.
- Competence in driving manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Knowledge of courier services and logistics processes will enhance performance in this role.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Projected Total Compensation: $185.00 - $200.00 per day
