Aftercare Staff Position
Hours: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM (Starting @ $18.50)
Our Aftercare Staff play an essential role in creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children at the end of their school day. The primary responsibility is ensuring the safety and well-being of every child while providing a positive atmosphere where students can relax, play, complete homework, and build friendships.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the safety and supervision of all children at all times.
- Conduct regular head counts and ensure children are always accounted for.
- Follow all emergency procedures and school safety protocols.
- Foster a caring, respectful, and inclusive environment.
- Engage children in age-appropriate games, activities, crafts, and outdoor play.
- Assist with homework and encourage positive study habits when appropriate.
- Monitor behavior using positive guidance and redirection techniques.
- Help distribute snacks while following allergy and dietary guidelines.
- Communicate professionally with parents during dismissal and report any concerns to supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with fellow staff members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist with setting up and cleaning activity spaces before dismissal.
