Monart School of the Arts is seeking experienced art teachers to lead our after-school drawing programs throughout San Diego County for the 2026-2027 school year.
About the Role:
- Schedule: Part-time, after-school hours (between 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM).
- Commitment: 1 hour of instruction per class, with up to 2 hours maximum per job to cover set-up, clean-up, and dismissal. We require a commitment of one year or more.
- Locations: Del Mar, Escondido, Point Loma, San Diego, and Solana Beach. Teachers are scheduled within 15 miles of home when possible, and we provide a gas stipend for travel over 20 miles.
- Compensation: $65.00 per class. Paid training is required and provided.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure children's physical and emotional safety.
- Manage and educate students in a classroom setting.
- Implement engaging lesson plans adhering to Monart philosophies and school district policies.
- Maintain positive relationships with students and parents.
Qualifications:
- Art background and previous experience teaching children.
- Strong classroom management and leadership skills.
- Reliable transportation, auto insurance, and willingness to travel within San Diego County/Same locations per session. (1 class per day/ 6-10 weeks per session).
- Positive attitude and professional references.

Pay: $25.37 - $26.00 per hour
