Miller & Sons Golf Cars is a premier provider of golf cars and utility vehicles. We are seeking a driven, results-oriented Inside Sales Manager to lead our consumer-focused retail sales, rental programs, and dealership operations at our Britt, Iowa location.

Position Overview:
This role is responsible for driving revenue through new and used equipment sales, managing our robust rental programs, and maintaining our golf car inventory. This position focuses heavily on direct-to-consumer retail markets and local commercial accounts (please note: this role does not manage large-scale golf course fleet accounts).
The ideal candidate can confidently manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and lead generation through negotiation, closing, and final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Sales & Business Development
- Drive revenue through retail, consumer, and dealership sales of new and used golf cars
- Manage and convert inbound and outbound sales opportunities (walk-ins, phone, website, and online listings)
- Execute full sales cycle: prospecting, follow-up, presentations, negotiation, and closing
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and consistent follow-up discipline
- Develop new business through local outreach and relationship building with commercial accounts
- Use a consultative sales approach to match customers with the right equipment based on use, property, and budget
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date listings on website and online marketplaces
Rental Program Management
- Oversee daily operations of the golf cart rental program
- Manage scheduling, logistics, availability, and coordination of rental units
- Ensure all units are clean, functional, and customer-ready
- Coordinate with service team on maintenance and turnaround
- Monitor rental demand and utilization to maximize profitability
- Support rental customers across events, businesses, and occasional golf course accounts
Inventory Management & Merchandising
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date retail inventory of new and used carts
- Coordinate with service to ensure a consistent flow of refurbished inventory ready for sale
- Manage pricing, merchandising, and positioning of inventory
- Monitor and proactively reduce aged inventory
- Ensure all inventory is staged, charged, clean, and clearly priced
Operations & Team Coordination
- Collaborate with Service, Fleet, and Accounting teams to support daily operations
- Set and communicate clear sales and inventory priorities
- Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism
- Resolve customer issues quickly and effectively
- Support company promotions and overall sales initiatives
Showroom & Facility Presentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional showroom environment
- Ensure display units are properly staged to drive engagement and sales
- Adjust showroom layout based on inventory mix and seasonal demand
Administrative & Reporting
- Track key performance metrics including:
- Sales volume and gross margin
- Lead conversion rate
- Inventory turnover
- Rental utilization
- Assist with inventory planning and forecasting
- Ensure accuracy in POS transactions and documentation
Skills and Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of experience in retail sales, equipment sales, or dealership sales
- Proven ability to manage a pipeline and close deals
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience with inventory or retail operations
- Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred
- Experience in powersports, automotive, golf cars, trailer, agricultural, or equipment sales
- Familiarity with CRM systems, POS systems, or Dealer Management Systems (DMS)
- Experience with online marketplaces, social media and digital lead sources
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
