Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Installer specializing in porcelain tile, quartz, and granite to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately installing high-quality building materials in residential and commercial spaces, ensuring precise craftsmanship and adherence to project specifications. Duties
- Measure and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate installation of tile, quartz, and granite surfaces
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate adhesives or mortar for optimal bonding
- Install porcelain tiles, quartz countertops, granite slabs, and other building materials with precision using hand tools and power tools
- Follow construction plans and specifications to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
- Use ladders, scaffolding, and heavy equipment safely to access work areas at various heights or difficult locations
- Conduct quality inspections during and after installation to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal
- Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and other trades to coordinate installation activities effectively
Requirements
- Proven experience in tile masonry installation, including laying porcelain tile, quartz surfaces, and granite fabrication
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and construction estimating processes
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans
- Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, levels, tape measures, and power tools used in building material installation
- Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately for precise cuts and placements
- Experience with construction inspection standards and following blueprint specifications closely
- Knowledge of related trades such as plumbing, electrical work, roofing, stucco application, or drywall installation is a plus
- Skilled in using Bluebeam software for digital markup of plans (preferred)
- Capable of working safely at heights using ladders or scaffolding while adhering to safety protocols
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or project stakeholders during installations
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials regularly and stand for extended periods on construction sites
