Business Development Specialist – Haven Group Property Management
Base Salary + Uncapped Performance Bonuses

Haven Group Property Management is hiring a full-time Business Development Specialist to help drive portfolio growth throughout the Cleveland market.
This is a field-based, relationship-driven business development role for someone who enjoys being out in the local real estate community, building referral partnerships, meeting with owners and investors, and turning strong relationships into new business.
You will spend much of your time attending real estate events, visiting brokerages, meeting referral partners, delivering presentations, and staying connected with local investors and property owners. You will also work company-generated and self-generated leads, manage your pipeline in the CRM, conduct consultative sales conversations, and close new property management agreements.
The goal of this role is simple: build strong local relationships, create new opportunities, and add new doors to Haven Group’s management portfolio.

What You’ll Do:
Build Relationships in the Local Real Estate Community
- Develop strong relationships with real estate agents, investors, property owners, lenders, title companies, and other local referral partners
- Visit local real estate brokerages consistently to introduce Haven Group, present our services, and build referral opportunities
- Attend local networking events, investor meetups, brokerage meetings, and industry gatherings
- Represent Haven Group professionally throughout the Cleveland and Akron real estate markets
- Stay in regular contact with referral partners so Haven Group remains top-of-mind when property management needs arise
- Identify opportunities for lunch-and-learns, brokerage presentations, webinars, sponsorships, and speaking engagements
Generate and Close New Business
- Drive new business growth by securing new property management clients and adding doors to the portfolio
- Work both company-generated and self-generated leads
- Connect with prospective clients by phone, text, email, networking, and in-person meetings
- Meet with property owners and investors to understand their properties, goals, timelines, and management needs
- Run consultative sales conversations and present Haven Group’s services, fees, and value
- Conduct property walk-throughs and onboarding meetings with new clients
- Maintain consistent follow-up throughout the decision-making process
- Close new property management agreements and help create a smooth transition into management
Manage Your Pipeline in the CRM
- Use the CRM daily to track leads, referral partners, outreach activity, meetings, and next steps
- Enter detailed notes after prospect conversations, brokerage visits, events, and partner meetings
- Maintain accurate pipeline stages and follow-up tasks for every active opportunity
- Ensure prospective clients and referral relationships receive consistent, professional follow-up
- Provide visibility into sales activity, pipeline development, and closed business
Support Local Visibility and Education
- Deliver or assist with presentations for brokerages, investors, and referral partners
- Help create educational resources, rental market updates, and referral materials
- Create occasional short-form video or social content that supports local relationship-building and establishes Haven Group as a trusted resource
- Promote events, webinars, and educational opportunities that create conversations with prospective clients and referral partners
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in business development, outside sales, real estate, property management, or relationship-based client acquisition
- Enjoys being out in the community, meeting new people, networking, and building long-term relationships
- Is comfortable walking into real estate offices, connecting with agents, and presenting services to groups
- Can confidently speak with property owners and investors, uncover their needs, and ask for the business
- Has experience using a CRM and understands the importance of detailed notes, accurate pipeline stages, and consistent follow-up
- Is highly organized, proactive, personable, and dependable
- Is comfortable balancing long-term relationship-building with direct sales responsibility
- Is motivated by results and excited by the opportunity to directly impact company growth and earning potential

In this role, success means consistently being active in the market and converting that activity into growth. A successful Business Development Specialist will:
- Build meaningful referral relationships with local real estate professionals and investors
- Regularly visit brokerages, attend events, and deliver educational presentations
- Create new business opportunities through relationships and outreach
- Work assigned leads professionally and follow up consistently
- Maintain an organized, active pipeline in the CRM
- Close new property management agreements
- Add new doors to Haven Group’s portfolio
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $55,000
Performance Bonuses: Monthly bonus opportunities based on company growth and new units added
On-Target Earnings: $100,000–$120,000

Work Location
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Cleveland, Ohio area. While you will go into the office a few times each week, a significant part of this position will be spent in the local community: visiting brokerages, attending networking events, meeting referral partners, conducting property appointments, and meeting with prospective clients.
