Heavy Equipment Material Handler Responsible for the safe operation of our material handlers- Link-Belt 240 Material Handler, Caterpillar 320dl. The ideal candidates will have heavy equipment experience and a great safety record. Daily cleaning and equipment inspections are required. The candidate will work to determine and meet all customers needs, providing friendly & efficient service. This position is full time, working at least 32 hours a week during our hours of operation (Hours of Operation are Monday through Friday, 6 am to 5 pm, Saturday 8 am to 1 pm).
Primary Job Duties
Operating heavy machinery- Experience with excavators, material handlers
Loading and unloading vehicles
Ability to take directions from management
Adaptability to new environments
Daily pre-trip inspection of equipment
Properly sort and load scrap metal to specifications in a safe and productive manner
Breaking down of certain materials for upgrades
Other duties as required

Physical Demands
Responsibilities primarily performed by standing / walking 90% of the time

Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 50 pounds
The ability to work in both extreme heat and cold weather conditions is required
