Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Children’s Services or designee, this position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Early Intervention Program and the Smart Start Preschool Program their staff, families, and students. This position is responsible to assist assigned staff in preparing correspondence, copying, filing, and distributing reports, coordinating departmental activities and meetings and completing special projects as assigned. This incumbent will become knowledgeable in Early Intervention billing practices and will work closely with this department to assist in verifying monthly billings and payments for accuracy. This position will also assist in our Smart Start Preschool when deemed necessary.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an associate degree in business management or related field or completion of an administrative assistant program.
- Minimum of two years administrative experience in a fast-paced environment supporting more than one senior level manager. Must have superior organizational skills and be able to handle multiple tasks in an efficient and effective manner.
- Excellent computer skills a must. Superior interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to complete assignments in an independent manner are essential.
Skills and Competencies: The incumbent must be able to problem solve and be flexible to respond to environmental changes to best support our children and program operations. Must be able to multi-task and complete assignments in an independent and efficient manner. This position will always represent the program and agency in a professional manner and will provide administrative support to other agency areas as assigned.
