Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of building and renovating a variety of projects, ensuring that work progresses efficiently and safely. Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and setting up safety barriers in accordance with construction plans and safety regulations
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, and cutters to perform tasks like concrete pouring, cutting, finishing, and masonry work
- Install rebar reinforcement and construct formwork for concrete structures following blueprint specifications and technical drawings
- Interpret construction plans and blueprints to understand project requirements, ensuring accurate execution of tasks such as flooring installation, plastering, and renovation work
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely while adhering to construction workplace safety regulations
- Support concrete forming, concrete cutting, concrete finishing, and concrete pumping activities to ensure high-quality results
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members
Requirements
- Proven experience working on construction projects with knowledge of various trades such as carpentry, masonry, flooring installation, and plastering
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating power tools, heavy equipment, and concrete mixers effectively
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately for proper execution of tasks
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and interpreting blueprint specifications
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and safety protocol adherence at all times
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, work at heights if necessary, and stand or walk for extended periods throughout the day
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills in a fast-paced environment
