Job Title: Residential Construction Bookkeeper
Position Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $25–$30/hour (DOE – Depending on Experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support our growing residential construction business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting, be highly organized, and capable of managing financial records with accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Maintain general ledger and job cost tracking
- Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Handle vendor payments and subcontractor documentation
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of bookkeeping experience (construction industry preferred)
- Strong understanding of job costing and construction accounting practices
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar)
- Knowledge of certified payroll is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
