Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the restaurant's cash register system.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, and make recommendations to enhance guest satisfaction through upselling techniques.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to health and safety standards by regularly sanitizing work areas and kitchen equipment.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including setting and clearing tables efficiently.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent guest relations skills.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of culinary practices and food preparation techniques is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
