We're looking for a Tea Blender is to support the production team as needed in preparing and packaging our popular loose-leaf tea blends and tea of the month subscription. This includes blending teas according to batch log recipes, flavoring teas as required, and blending custom orders. You are also responsible for prioritizing the daily tea blending needs, receiving and inspecting received goods, as well as tracking inventory.
This position is a full time ( 35 hours), hourly position. The position based in our Portland, Oregon office.

Operations
- Blending teas and other products based on daily priortization
- Using filling machines or by hand(when required), fill teas, sweets and samples as required in accordance with sales to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Fill tea for the tea club, custom orders and flights as needed.
- Label all products with product labels and date stamps accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain product label files both digitally and physically.
- Execute daily cleaning and maintenance of machines to keep them operating optimally.
- Support colleagues in ongoing production activities as needed.
- Support team in completing general warehouse tasks such as cleaning and product assemblage.
- Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and products.
- Accurately blend teas according to recipes using accurate weights and measurements to maintain product consistency and quality.
- Complete all required paperwork for each batch blended.
- Flavor tea according to current protocols.
- Maintain accurate management of inventory of raw goods including proper storage protocols.
- Accurately receive and restock raw goods as they come in and update the inventory tracking system.
- Maintain proper handling of all allergens.
- Follow all sanitation standards including sanitization of equipment and use of triple sink setup.
- Submit accurate orders of raw goods for reorder
General Responsibilities
- Follow all company policies, procedures and safety protocol.
- Effectively and efficiently complete all projects assigned in the timeframes required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Physical Demand and Work Environment:
This position requires standing for up to 10 hours per day. It also requires lifting a maximum of 50 lbs, and bending consistently during the shifts to complete the required tasks.
Skills and Experience:
· Previous warehouse or product assembly experience.
· Previous experience working in food processing a plus.
