Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing essential special education services in a supportive school environment. Two contract opportunities are available for experienced Special Education Teachers for the upcoming school year. These roles serve either early childhood (PreK) or middle school (grades 6-8) students, allowing you to utilize your expertise in diverse settings. For the PreK position, you’ll be working full-time, Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm at multiple sites, supporting a caseload of 10-20 students. The middle school opening is at a single site with a similar schedule, supporting up to 22 students in grades 6-8.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Prior experience working with early childhood or middle school age groups
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning needs
- Comfortable traveling between multiple sites (for early childhood role)
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive classroom environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction in compliance with IEPs
- Coordinate with general education teachers and school support staff
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate outcomes
- Create engaging learning experiences tailored to each student’s abilities
- Facilitate a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom culture
- Engage regularly with parents and caregivers, promoting ongoing collaboration
