Position OverviewThe Weston Public Schools is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Attendance Office at the High School. This is a full-time position, reporting to the High School Assistant Principal. About the Weston Public SchoolsThe Weston Public Schools enrolls approximately 2,000 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The school district includes a high school for grades 9-12, a middle school for grades 6-8, an upper elementary school for grades 4-5, and two lower elementary schools for pre-kindergarten through grade 3. Since 1967, Weston has participated in METCO (Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunity) - a voluntary, desegregation program that places Boston residents in suburban schools. The Weston METCO program enrolls approximately 160 students (K-12).

Perform all general clerical duties to support attendance office and the High School Assistant Principal

Maintain student attendance records, and provide regular updates to faculty and families

Support the Assistant Principal with various scheduling functions, including: scheduling study halls, room assignments, teacher coverage, and student lunch schedules.

Maintain student demographic and emergency contact information

Prepare the Weston High School Faculty Handbook, including regular updates

Support the annual state testing, including scheduling and room assignments

Process information and update relevant systems
- Collect and maintain data for various local and state reports
- Interact with students, families, and staff in a responsive, customer-focused manner, and be sensitive to confidential information

Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Principal or his designee
Desired Qualifications-
Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma and two years of college required, and at least three years of off experience, preferably in a school setting (or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
- Results driven, with excellent planning and a systems approach to project management
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, PowerSchool and Google Suite
