Roots is hiring a Project Manager to lead residential construction projects including decks, kitchens, bathrooms, and interior remodels.
This role is for someone who has spent years in the field, understands how residential jobs actually run, and enjoys moving projects forward, maintaining high craftsmanship standards, and serving the people around them.
You will work closely with our office team who handles scheduling and logistics while you drive execution in the field.
What You'll Do
- Lead jobsite execution and ensure projects move forward daily
- Identify and solve jobsite bottlenecks before they slow down the project
- Lead and develop field crews to perform at a high level
- Maintain strong craftsmanship and quality standards
- Coordinate subcontractors and inspections
- Communicate progress and field realities to the office team
- Keep jobs organized, clean, and professional
- Track job progress and updates in our project management system
Leadership Responsibilities
This role is not just about finishing projects — it's about developing great builders.
You will mentor and train Residential Construction Specialists in areas including:
- Deck construction
- Framing
- Kitchens and bathrooms
- Flooring and finish carpentry
We are looking for someone who enjoys teaching the craft and building strong teams.
What We're Looking For
- 5–10 years of residential construction experience
- Strong carpentry or remodeling background
- Experience leading crews or running projects
- Highly organized and proactive problem solver
- Strong communication skills with crews and homeowners
- Pride in craftsmanship and jobsite professionalism
- Comfortable using construction management software (JobTread experience a plus)
- Valid driver's license
Compensation
$75,000 – $95,000 per year depending on experience
