Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist - Operator / Setups to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC machines to produce precision components in accordance with engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in CNC operation and Setup, and experience with various manufacturing tools to ensure efficient production processes.
Duties
- Setting up machines, working on blueprints, setup sheets, work instructions provided.
- Produce parts via reading and interpreting work instructions, blueprints, and basic drawings
- Fabricate custom machined parts via programmed CNC machining centers, coordination of heat-treating or anodize process batches per schedule
- Work directly with Team Leads and Assembly personnel to ensure correct fitment / tolerances, product schedules, quality, and on-time delivery goals
- Recommend and implement continuous improvements in machining processes, tooling, machine setups, program edits, etc.
- Maximize output, yields, quality, productivity, and machines up-time and preventative maintenance
Qualifications
- 5+ Years of experience operating 2 & 3 Axis CNC Mills & Lathes
- 3+ Years of understanding CNC program & Fixture setup, operation and evaluation
- Maintain scheduled jobs, utilizing all equipment and manpower efficiently
- Ability to interpret and analyze blueprints, maintain tolerances and perform / create setups
- Ability to use inspection tools; calipers, micrometers, dial-indicators and height gauges
- Setup in-process, and final inspections of parts to close tolerances, verify proper surface finishes and evaluate stack-up tolerances
- Ability to calculate simple math and ability to follow step by step instructions, signing off steps, asking questions and raising concerns as they arise
- Maintain the highest quality of standards for workmanship and through-put
- Experience working with metal, wood and plastic materials
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
- Good communication skills, ability to speak, read and write in English and status, relay continuous information across work cells
- Good physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and a good awareness of Safety practices and policies

Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
