Duties
- Lead and manage complex litigation cases across multiple practice areas.
- Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and discovery materials with precision and clarity.
- Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions that align with client objectives while minimizing risk.
- Represent clients confidently in court proceedings, hearings, mediations, and depositions to advocate for their interests.
- Build strong relationships with clients by providing clear communication, strategic counsel, and timely updates on case progress.
- Collaborate with team members on legal research projects and contribute to the firm’s knowledge base by sharing insights on specialized areas like immigration law or land use regulations.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Texas or willingness to obtain licensure promptly.
- Proven experience in litigation across multiple legal disciplines such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, or patent law.
- Demonstrated proficiency with legal research tools including LexisNexis and Westlaw to gather relevant case law and statutes efficiently.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
- Excellent legal drafting and writing skills that communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
