Why This Role Matters
This is more than a traditional retail associate position. We are looking for someone with real-world retail experience, strong judgment, and the ability to hit the ground running.
You will be a hands-on part of our daily operations and someone we can trust to take ownership of your responsibilities without needing constant direction. You should be comfortable working independently, making sound decisions, adapting when priorities change, and jumping in wherever you are needed.
You will interact directly with customers, operate the register, assist with inventory and merchandising, maintain store standards, support promotions, and help ensure the store runs smoothly day to day.
While this is not a management position and does not involve direct reports, we are looking for someone who naturally demonstrates leadership through their work ethic, reliability, professionalism, and willingness to help others succeed.

What You'll Do:
Customer Experience & Sales
- Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable, professional service.
- Help customers find products and make recommendations based on their needs.
- Develop a strong understanding of our products, promotions, pricing, and current offerings.
- Conduct product demonstrations and educate customers on product features and benefits.
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and phone inquiries professionally.
- Create a shopping experience that keeps customers coming back.
Store Operations
- Operate the POS system and cash register accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, organizing, and rotating merchandise.
- Help maintain accurate inventory and identify inventory or merchandising issues.
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-presented sales floors and stock areas.
- Assist with pricing, signage, displays, promotions, and merchandising.
- Help ensure products are properly presented and available for customers.
- Recognize operational issues and take initiative to address them or communicate them promptly.
Ownership & Teamwork
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow through without constant supervision.
- Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-changing retail environment.
- Work collaboratively with the team while also being comfortable working independently.
- Step in and help wherever needed to keep the store operating smoothly.
- Lead by example through reliability, professionalism, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
- Help newer team members learn store processes and best practices when appropriate.
- Communicate clearly with coworkers and leadership about customer, inventory, or operational issues.
- Adapt quickly as business needs, priorities, and responsibilities evolve.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who has enough experience to hit the ground running, but who is still excited to be a hands-on contributor rather than looking for a traditional management position.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Previous experience in grocery, retail, sales, customer service, or a related environment. Minimum of two years required.
- The ability to work independently and make good decisions using sound judgment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience operating a POS system and handling cash transactions accurately.
- A solid understanding of basic retail operations, including stocking, merchandising, inventory, and sales.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to multitask and stay productive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong phone etiquette and professional communication.
- Basic math skills and comfort working with pricing, transactions, and inventory.
- A willingness to learn new products, systems, and processes.
- A demonstrated history of reliability, accountability, and taking initiative.
