Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security/Doorman to ensure the safety, security, and smooth operation of our venue. In this energetic role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, maintaining a welcoming yet secure environment. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, performing security checks, managing crowd control, and responding swiftly to emergencies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine customer service with physical security expertise, creating a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all patrons.
Responsibilities
- Control access to the venue by verifying IDs, performing background checks, and managing entry using access control systems
- Conduct on-site patrols to monitor activity and prevent incidents
- De-escalate conflicts using conflict management techniques and conflict de-escalation skills to maintain a peaceful environment
- Respond promptly to emergencies by executing emergency response procedures, including CPR, AED operation, and first aid when necessary
- Perform physical security duties such as patrolling premises, heavy lifting when required, and manual handling of equipment or supplies
- Enforce compliance with security regulations and venue policies while providing excellent customer service to guests
Qualifications
- Preferred experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields with familiarity in surveillance
- Preferred valid certifications in first aid, CPR, and AED operation
- Strong understanding of emergency response procedures
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations calmly and professionally
- Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting, patrolling duties, and manual handling tasks for extended periods
- Knowledge of security regulations, loss prevention strategies, and compliance standards within the hospitality or entertainment industry
