Ventura Dive is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center at Ventura Harbor. We operate our own classroom, pool, retail floor, and charter vessel, with certification dives at Channel Islands National Park. We’re hiring a sales associate to work the counter, selling classes, gear, and charter bookings while supporting daily shop operations.
- Greet customers, find out where they are in their diving, and recommend the right course, gear, or charter
- Book students into courses and divers onto charters
- Fit customers for masks, fins, wetsuits, and personal gear
- Process sales on the point-of-sale system, handle the cash drawer, and balance at shift end
- Manage rental gear check-out and returns
- Stock shelves, maintain displays, and assist with inventory counts
- Answer phones and emails about schedules, charters, and gear
Requirements
- Must be Open Water Scuba Certified
- Comfortable talking to customers and asking for the sale
- Accurate with cash handling and basic math
- Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented in a busy shop
- Weekend availability
This is a counter role in a working dive operation, with instructors, a pool, and a boat in the same building. Associates who want to keep training are in the right place to do it. Submit your resume with your certification level and a note on your diving experience.
