Job Overview
Community Medical Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team for our Lebanon, Rosedale, Hansonville, Castlewood and Clintwood Clinic. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including acute care facilities. This role is vital in ensuring patients receive high-quality care and assistance with daily activities while promoting their comfort and well-being.
Duties
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide support for acute pain management and assist in the administration of prescribed medications.
- Help with diagnostic evaluations by collecting samples for laboratory tests as needed.
- Engage in patient mobility assistance, ensuring safety during transfers and ambulation.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient progress and report any changes in condition to nursing staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Nursing Assistant training program is preferred.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is highly desirable.
- Experience in nursing home settings or acute care facilities is an advantage.
- Familiarity with occupational health practices and systems related to patient care.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy procedures as required for diagnostic evaluations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
