Brain Balance is a drug-free, holistic program designed to help improve focus, behavior, and social skills through a combination of physical, sensory, and cognitive activities.
The Assistant Director possesses outstanding interpersonal skills, and consistently seeks personal challenges and professional rewards.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Guide & assist 2 children through various activities
- Work directly with higher-needs students and more challenging cases, providing additional support, structure, redirection, and patience as needed
- Assist with managing challenging behaviors and help determine effective strategies to keep students engaged and successful
- Assist & direct coaches on correct protocol and procedures
- Serve as a resource and support for coaches working with higher-needs or challenging students
- Train new coaches
- Coordinate with Program Director on student programs, coaching strategies, and training for coaches
- Carry out assessments professionally and confidently, as needed
- Answer phones and assist with parent communication
- Center maintenance and organization
- Provide a positive and professional experience for students and families
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Education, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Customer Service experience
- Well organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
- Effectively interacts with all types of individuals
- Strong behavior management skills required
- Above-average emotional intelligence (EQ), patience, and composure
- Quick thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
- Articulate and able to communicate effectively in person and on the phone
- Comfortable working with children who may have significant behavioral, developmental, sensory, or emotional needs
- Ability to remain calm, positive, and solution-focused in challenging situations
- Strong leadership skills and ability to provide direction and support to other coaches
Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 12:00 PM–8:00 PM
Tuesday & Friday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
No Weekends
Pay: $19.50 - $21.50 per hour
