Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble components according to menu specifications and dietary guidelines
- Cook a variety of dishes with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils
- Support catering events or special meal preparations as needed
- Serve dishes efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Kitchen experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety standards is essential
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations is a plus
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food industry best practices are beneficial
