Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, assisted living facilities, and pediatric care. This role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and assistance with daily activities while maintaining their dignity and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients during their recovery process.
- Help with mobility by assisting patients in moving from beds to wheelchairs or other locations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient areas, ensuring a safe environment.
- Document patient care activities accurately using medical documentation systems such as eClinicalWorks.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement patient care plans effectively.
- Assist in the management of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as needed.
- Support critical care procedures under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians when required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a nursing assistant training program is preferred.
- Previous experience in hospital medicine, inpatient care, pediatrics, or assisted living environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent patient service.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating empathy towards patients and their families.
- Must be able to handle physically demanding tasks and maintain composure in critical care situations.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
