Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights
Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 Hours/Week
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Step-Down Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience caring for high-acuity medical patients in an Intermediate Care/Step-Down setting and excel in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and treatment.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor for changes in condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders.
- Manage patients with complex medical conditions, including cardiac and respiratory illnesses.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
- Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge care.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and evidence-based nursing practices.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/Step-Down/IMCU experience.
- Previous travel nursing experience required.
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong assessment, telemetry monitoring, and critical care skills.
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per day
