Resident Aide - CNA
Full-time and Part-time Night shift 11pm-7am Resident Aide/CNA positions available at Crown Cypress Assisted Living for an energetic, outgoing, caring individual with a genuine desire to work with seniors to manage day-to-day healthcare operations. If you have a true passion for providing care to seniors in their time of need, our 36 apartment Assisted Living Community in Kingsport, TN or proving care to seniors in their homes (Home Care), this is for you! As an integral part of the caregiving team under the supervision of our Resident Care Director (LPN), we strive to translate our team’s passion into meaningful experiences that provide our residents with the highest quality of care by promoting independence with the best possible care while treating the resident with the utmost dignity and respect.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma or GED 18 years or older
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in the English language
- Have demonstrated experience in the senior healthcare industry
- Be accurate, concise, detail-oriented, and able to work cooperatively as a team member
- Effectively communicate with residents, families, staff, and all levels of the organization with good written and verbal skills
- Previous experience a plus.
- Current CNA license a plus.
EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide assistance with activities of daily living to meet the resident’s physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual needs with respect and dignity. This could include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, laundry, bed making, and other duties as assigned
- Demonstrate dependable work habits
- Ability to display tactful, cheerful, and enthusiastic disposition with all residents and family members.
- Prioritizes tasks to ensure optimum services to residents as requests and/or needs change.
- Maintains a safe environment for the patient according to regulations, policy and procedure
- Maintain compliance with state rules and regulations.
- Attend and participate in continuing educational programs to keep abreast of changes in the field. Maintain current license/certification as required.
- Honor residents’ rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights, including the right to wage complaints.
- Maintain accurate and current records
- Communicate well with patients/clients and family members. Provide a warm and friendly greeting and an approachable attitude to families, visitors, and patients/residents/clients. Respond to expressed concerns with a helpful, caring demeanor. Answer questions in a professional manner.
