Excellent opportunity for a Phlebotomist to work with a global life sciences and healthcare company!
Shift: Mon-Fri 7am - 4pm and every other Sat 7am - 12:30pm.
2+ years of phlebotomy experience doing blood draws on pediatrics and geriatrics.
Position Responsibilities:
- Phlebotomy technician with experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
- Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collections as required.
- Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
- Fully understand all of the physicians' orders.
- Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of phlebotomy experience doing blood draws on pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Specimen processing
- 6 months experience working in fast-paced lab or hospital
- Straight and butterfly needles
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass a color vision test
