Summary
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing and Facilities Maintenance Technician to support operations in a fast-paced metal fabrication environment. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure maximum uptime, efficiency, and safety.
The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, along with hands-on experience maintaining industrial machinery, including systems involving hydraulics, pneumatics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain and repair metal fabrication equipment including: Press brakes, CNC machines, Punch presses, Shears and cutting equipment, Welding equipment
- Diagnose equipment issues and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with metal fabrication equipment strongly preferred.
Skills
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to diagnose faults quickly and accurately.
- Basic PLC troubleshooting experience (e.g., Allen-Bradley) preferred.
- Ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot hazards early.
- Excellent communication skills—verbal and written.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Professional, courteous interactions with employees, vendors, and management.
- Strong time management and prioritization abilities.
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical certification preferred.
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
