Project Manager / Estimator for Industrial Process Piping
Pay: $80,000–$100,000 per year, based on experience + $700 reimbursement for truck,+ Company Gas Card, Cell Phone, and Laptop.

Are you an experienced Industrial Mechanical and Process Piping Project Manager / Estimator who can build accurate estimates, manage job costs, coordinate projects, communicate professionally with customers and crews, and keep profitable work moving from proposal through completion?
An established industrial mechanical contractor is seeking a high-level Project Manager / Estimator to manage industrial construction, plant maintenance, piping, fabrication, equipment installation, and mechanical service projects throughout Central Pennsylvania and surrounding areas.
This is a primarily office-based role, with approximately 70% of your time spent in the office handling estimating, project administration, job costing, scheduling, purchasing, documentation, billing support, and customer communication. The remaining 30% will be spent in the field visiting jobsites, reviewing project conditions, meeting with customers, supporting field teams, and monitoring project progress.
This is not a role for someone who only knows the field side. The right candidate must be highly organized, computer literate, confident with estimating software and spreadsheets, and able to manage multiple active industrial projects at one time.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Estimate labor, material, equipment, rentals, and subcontractor costs for industrial mechanical projects
- Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs from drawings, blueprints, specifications, and customer scopes of work
- Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, budgets, and project schedules
- Manage industrial mechanical projects from kickoff through final completion
- Maintain job-cost reports, project records, billing information, progress reports, schedules, and digital documentation
- Procure materials, equipment, rentals, subcontractors, and specialty services
- Coordinate closely with superintendents, foremen, field crews, vendors, subcontractors, customers, general contractors, accounting personnel, and company leadership
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor progress, labor productivity, safety, quality, customer expectations, and project conditions
- Identify, price, document, and manage change orders
- Resolve technical, scheduling, jobsite, and contractual issues before they impact profitability
- Track project costs and help ensure work is completed safely, on time, within scope, and at the expected profit margin
- Communicate professionally with customers throughout the life of each project
- Support project closeout, final documentation, and customer satisfaction
Projects May Include:
- Plant maintenance and industrial shutdown work
- Millwright and rigging projects
- Utility piping, sanitary piping, and process piping
- Boiler, chiller, tank, silo, compressor, and equipment installation
- Structural steel fabrication and installation
- Miscellaneous industrial fabrication and installation, including chutes, welded ductwork, handrails, stairs, ladders, walkways, guardrails, and bollard systems
- Manufacturing, food-processing, industrial plant, and commercial mechanical projects
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience as an Industrial Mechanical Piping Project Manager, Mechanical Estimator, Industrial Estimator, Mechanical Project Manager, or similar role
- Strong background in industrial mechanical construction, piping, millwright work, fabrication, structural steel, equipment installation, plant maintenance, or industrial service work
- Experience estimating labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and project costs
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and construction documents
- Strong understanding of job costing, labor productivity, project schedules, purchasing, change orders, billing support, and project profitability
- High level of computer literacy and comfort working in an office environment daily
- Strong skills with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, estimating software, digital plan rooms, scheduling tools, job-cost reports, project-management systems, and email communication
- Ability to manage detailed estimates, proposals, budgets, schedules, documentation, and multiple projects at the same time
- Comfortable working approximately 70% in the office and 30% in the field
- Strong communication, leadership, organization, prioritization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work professionally with field crews, customers, plant personnel, subcontractors, vendors, general contractors, and internal leadership
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability and flexibility to travel to jobsites as projects require
