Responsibilities
- Assist customers and technicians by accurately identifying and sourcing automotive parts using inventory management systems and POS (Point of Sale) tools.
- Manage inventory control by stocking, organizing, and maintaining parts in the back counter area to ensure quick accessibility and proper stock levels.
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit card payments, and cash handling procedures with professionalism.
- Collaborate with the sales team to promote auto parts and accessories, leveraging marketing strategies to increase sales opportunities.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics and mechanical troubleshooting knowledge to advise customers on suitable parts for vehicle repairs or maintenance.
- Maintain organized records of inventory using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software and Microsoft Excel for tracking stock levels and order fulfillment.
- Provide exceptional customer service through clear communication, phone etiquette, and a friendly attitude to enhance the overall shopping experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive repair, automotive service, or dealership environments required.
- Must have knowledge with Reynolds and Reynolds and Dealertrack.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand vehicle systems and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Excellent organizational skills with experience in inventory management, stocking, order fulfillment, and inventory control processes.
- Proficiency in POS systems, Microsoft Excel, and basic retail math to manage sales transactions accurately.
- Effective communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance procedures, and automotive parts management is essential.
- Experience with dealership or retail sales management tools such as CMMS is advantageous.
- Ability to handle cashiering responsibilities including cash handling with accuracy and integrity.
- Strong negotiation skills to assist customers in selecting the best solutions for their needs while maximizing sales opportunities.
- Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and credit check.
