HIRING CAREGIVER-PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT FOR:
At The Village at Garden Creek in San Luis Obispo, our caregivers perform personal care tasks including:
- Assistance with personal hygiene grooming, ambulation, medical monitoring, and healthcare-related tasks
- Fostering positive relationships between individuals served
- Ensuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment
- Encouraging self-help activities
- Reporting changes in residents' condition to nursing
- Documenting services provided
- Performing light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning
- Reading, writing, and carrying out directions
- Charting or taking notes for others to review
- Providing companionship and supportive listening
- Reporting changes in the health or status of the client
- Responding to emergency situations
Qualifications:
- A dedication to seniors and their well-being
- Experience in senior caregiving, CNA/NA preferred, but not required
- 18 years of age or older
- High school degree/GED
- Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) with all levels of personnel
- Ability to handle physical aspects of the job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time.
- Must be able to pass DOJ fingerprinting and pre-employment health screening.
