Beal University is seeking an adjunct instructor in Coding for the Health Information Management Programs. The University offers Diploma, Associates, Bachelor's in Health Information Technologies. Each of these programs is designed to provide the student with practical foundation for a career in Health Information services.
The ideal candidates should have a Masters in Health Information, MBA, MPS, MHA or related field.
Job Duties
- Facilitating class instruction
- Providing advisement to students
- Attending and participating in instructor orientations and trainings
Education and Other Requirements
- Masters Degree or higher in an appropriate field.
- Certification: CPC or CCS is required. RHIA or RHIT Preferred
- Must have a minimum of 4 years experience working in the Health Information Technologies field.
- Demonstrated command of theory and practice, contemporary knowledge, and continuing study in an appropriate field(s).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- 2 years of experience with a Learning Management System preferred.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Superb interpersonal, observational, and communication skills.
- Patient, understanding and empathetic (recognize that student population is non-traditional)
