Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service and maintaining the standards of our establishment.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions and recommend items to enhance the guest experience through upselling techniques.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining proper presentation standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Process payments accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for checks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are met.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely food preparation.
- Uphold food safety regulations and handling procedures at all times.
- Assist with hosting duties as needed, including managing reservations through OpenTable.
Skills
- Previous experience in the food service industry, particularly sports bar environment, recommended.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and hospitality.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a high-pressure environment while multitasking various responsibilities.
- Familiarity with food handling practices, sanitation standards, and safety regulations.
- Culinary experience is a plus, as well as knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Proficient in using POS systems such as Toast for order entry and payment processing.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and check calculations.
